The Years Before Menopause Have a Name
Her mother called it “the change.”
We finally have a better name for it.
Perimenopause can begin years before your last period, sometimes while your cycle still seems completely normal.
And for many women, it does not announce itself with one dramatic symptom.
It can feel more like this:
For years, women were expected to call all of this “the change” and carry on.
We are the generation that gets to understand what may actually be changing.

Five things women describe, over and over.
- 01Awake somewhere between 2 and 4 more nights than not. Sometimes hot. Sometimes just switched on.
- 02The first coffee does nothing. The second one does a little, and then it is two o'clock.
- 03A word goes missing mid-sentence. Not a hard word. A name, a street, the thing you walked into the room for.
- 04You snapped at someone over something that would not have registered two years ago, and you heard yourself do it.
- 05A completely ordinary week, then a strange one, then an ordinary one again.
See more signs
- 06Your periods are still showing up, more or less on time, so you ruled out “that.”
- 07You have started to wonder whether your mother felt like this, and realized you would have no way of knowing.
- 08Too warm in a room everyone else finds comfortable, then cold twenty minutes later.
Three or more of those, in your forties or early fifties, and you may be describing something a great many women meet at this stage. It has a name, and the name is not “bad sleeper,” and it is not “stressed.”
A pattern, not a diagnosis. Only your doctor can tell you what is going on in your body.
Perimenopause is the stretch before menopause, and it can start early.
Menopause itself is a single day: the one that marks twelve months since your last period. Perimenopause is the run-up to it, often four to ten years, usually beginning in the forties and sometimes earlier, while periods are still arriving on time. And hormones do not necessarily wind down in a smooth line on the way there. For many women they swing, which is one reason a week can feel normal and the next can feel like somebody else's.
A simplified illustration, not a measurement of anyone. The point is the shape: the fall is rarely steady, and the swings are what can make it unpredictable from month to month.
Sleep is the one part with a clock on it, so it tends to get the blame. But the night waking, the fog, the mood shifts and the temperature swings are all commonly described parts of the same transition, and they can arrive together. That is one reason it may be worth looking beyond sleep alone.
Knowing what to call it changed what we looked for.
If the night waking, fog, mood changes and other shifts can arrive together during the same stage, we did not want another product built around just one of them. So we built Still You around the stage instead.
One nightly gummy for the years before menopause.
Menopause botanical core · Rest + relaxation support · 20B CFU probiotics · Broader botanical blend
Contains soy · Not hormone therapy · Talk to your doctor before you start
Why treating each symptom separately can miss the bigger picture.
When every symptom looks like its own problem, the answer becomes a cabinet full of products, each aimed at one part of one day.
Our mothers got one word for all of it, one option if it got bad enough, and nobody to compare notes with. We get to know what stage we are in, and to read the back of a bottle before we swallow what is inside it.
Some women choose hormone therapy with their doctor, and if that is right for you, take it. Many want something they can start tonight, that contains no hormones, that they will actually keep taking. That is what the rest of this page is about, including what the research shows and what it does not.
Built for the stage, not for one symptom.
Four systems in a single nightly serving instead of a menopause botanical, a probiotic, a rest formula and a multivitamin on four schedules.
Black Cohosh 200 mg · Soy Isoflavones 200 mg · Red Clover 100 mg
The three most-studied menopause plants at amounts you can check against any other label. Most brands hide these inside one blend total.
L-Theanine · Saffron · Rhodiola · Ashwagandha
For the switched-on 3 a.m. brain, and the morning that follows it. No melatonin, nothing that sedates you.
L. rhamnosus GG · L. reuteri · L. acidophilus · B. bifidum
Four probiotic organisms in the same gummy, instead of a second bottle.
Sphaeranthus indicus · Mangosteen · Green Tea · Moringa · Gynostemma
A separate system for the broader changes of midlife, kept out of the menopause core.
Every ingredient is named on the label. The Rest, Botanical and probiotic systems are printed as blend totals, so we do not claim individual amounts inside them.

Women who noticed it the next morning.
I didn't realize how much the bad nights were affecting the drive to work. This week I wasn't counting down to my next coffee. It sounds ordinary, but ordinary feels really good right now.
Vanessa A.August 22, 2026Verified purchase
The first thing I noticed was during getting everyone out the door: my brain felt a lot less fuzzy. Then it clicked that I'd had several better nights in a row. I just feel more like myself in the morning.
Diana K.August 20, 2026Verified purchase
My daughter said, 'whatever you're doing, keep doing it.' 😂 Apparently I'm not as miserable first thing in the morning. I knew I felt better, but hearing it from someone else was interesting.

Two bottles, because one cannot cover 90 nights.
A bottle is 60 gummies, so a real 90-night run always spills into a second bottle. Two bottles is what most women start with, and what the guarantee is built around.
58¢ per night
- Covers the full 90-day trial
- 90-Day Trial Guarantee eligible
- Free U.S. shipping
- One gummy nightly
Prefer three bottles ($89, 180 nights) or a single starter bottle ($49, not guarantee eligible)? Both are offered in the next step.
Start with at least two bottles on your first order, take Still You consistently for 90 days, and if it is not right for you, request a refund between Day 90 and Day 120 after delivery. No bloodwork, no proof of anything, and we will not deny an otherwise valid claim because you did not get the result you hoped for. One claim per customer or household; it is a refund of what you paid for the product, not a promise of a result. Email support@dailystillyou.com with your order number. Full terms →
Don't judge it by one morning.
Nothing in Still You is built to knock you out, so night one will most likely feel like nothing at all. The research behind these ingredients measures what happens over eight to twelve weeks, and women who notice something usually describe a few better mornings in a row somewhere in weeks four to eight, not one big night. By week twelve you have enough days behind you to tell a real change from a lucky week. That is why the trial runs 90 days, and why some women go the whole twelve weeks and notice nothing. Individual experiences vary.
One gummy at night while you wind down. That is the whole routine.
Look for patterns over weeks, not one unusually good or bad day.
On your mornings, not on a tracker. The guarantee is built around this window.
Why these ingredients made the formula.
Every study here tested one ingredient on its own, at its own amount, in its own form. None tested the finished Still You gummy, and we say so under every entry. Open any of them for the actual papers and their limits.
Soy Isoflavones · 200 mgStudied extensively in menopause research.
Plant compounds from the soybean. They are not hormones, and Still You contains no hormones. A 2012 analysis in Menopause pooled 19 clinical trials, at a median intake of 54 mg of isoflavones a day over six weeks to twelve months, and found hot flashes occurred 20.6% less often than with placebo and were 26.2% milder.1
What it does not prove. Still You holds 200 mg of soy isoflavone extract, and the weight of an extract is not the same as the amount of isoflavone measured inside it. We cite this to show why soy earned its place, not to promise you the same numbers. Still You contains soy; if you have been told to avoid soy, this is not the product for you.
Red Clover · 100 mgHuman research on menopausal hot flashes.
A second isoflavone source with a different plant profile from soy. A 2026 review pooled nine placebo-controlled trials using 37 to 160 mg a day of red clover isoflavones over twelve weeks to twelve months and found a statistically significant small-to-moderate reduction in hot-flash frequency versus placebo.2 An earlier double-blind trial in 30 postmenopausal women used 80 mg daily for twelve weeks and reported a further 44% drop in flushes in the red clover group.3
What it does not prove. Still You holds 100 mg of red clover extract, which is not the same as 100 mg of measured isoflavones.
Black Cohosh · 200 mgThe most-researched menopause botanical, with mixed evidence.
A 2023 review in Menopause covering 22 studies and 2,310 women found overall menopause symptoms and hot flashes improved versus placebo, though not anxiety or depressive symptoms.4 A placebo-controlled trial of 304 women found benefit on the main menopause rating outcome over twelve weeks.5
The catch. A 2012 Cochrane review, done by the strictest evidence checkers in medicine, looked at 16 trials and 2,027 women and found no significant pooled effect.6 The evidence really is split and changes from one form of the plant to the next. That is why the core of this formula is several plants rather than a bet on one, and why every batch of our black cohosh is identity-tested to confirm it is Actaea racemosa rather than a cheaper substitute species.
Rest + Relaxation · 500 mgIngredients individually researched for stress, sleep quality and menopausal wellbeing.
L-theanine at 200 mg a day for four weeks improved several stress-related measures and sleep-quality scores in a placebo-controlled crossover trial.7 A 2026 double-blind trial in 86 women aged 50 to 70 used 28 mg a day of a saffron extract for twelve weeks; depressive symptoms and sleep-related impairment improved versus placebo.8 A trial in 100 women with menopause symptoms used 300 mg of an ashwagandha root extract twice daily for eight weeks and found significant improvement in total menopause-rating and quality-of-life scores.9
What it does not prove. In the saffron trial, the one score that tracked broken sleep itself did not beat placebo, and we would rather tell you that than leave it out. None of these are sleeping pills, and none treat insomnia, anxiety or depression. Our label prints this system as a 500 mg total, so we do not claim the individual amounts match those trials. If hitting a specific trial amount is what you care about, that is a fair reason to buy something else.
Probiotics · 20 Billion CFUFour named organisms, printed as a combined count.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum. Digestive comfort is one of the least-discussed parts of midlife and is almost always sold as a separate purchase. The label prints the total count for the blend rather than a figure per organism, so that is what we state, and we do not borrow results from strain-specific trials run on other products.

Exactly what is disclosed, and exactly what is not.
Every ingredient named; the split is not stated.
A combined count, not per organism.
Other ingredients: Water, Pectin, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Carnauba Wax, Natural Goji Flavor.
- Made under Good Manufacturing Practices (the federal cGMP standard for dietary supplements).
- Every production batch is tested by an independent third-party laboratory against our quality specifications, with a Certificate of Analysis on file.
- Botanical identity is verified, including confirming the black cohosh is Actaea racemosa. Ask about a specific batch at support@dailystillyou.com.
Still You isn't for everyone.
- You want something that works tonight. This is not that, and anything promising tonight is selling a sedative.
- You are on hormone therapy and it is working. If HRT is right for you, take it.
- You need an exact studied amount of L-theanine, saffron or ashwagandha; ours sit inside one blend total.
- You avoid soy, or you have a hormone-sensitive condition. Talk to your doctor before anything else.
- You want to have made up your mind inside two weeks.
- You recognized yourself in the signs at the top of this page.
- You would rather keep one habit at night than five bottles on five schedules.
- You want the real amounts of the main plants before you swallow anything.
- You are willing to give a routine a proper 90 nights before deciding.
- You want the company selling it to be straight about what the research shows and what it does not.
More mornings, in their words.
The first thing I noticed was during making coffee: I could actually follow the conversation. Then it clicked that I'd had several better nights in a row. I feel human again when I wake up.

My daughter told me I sounded 'way more awake' in the morning. Rude but accurate 😂 I hadn't realized how different I sounded when I was running on broken sleep.

Questions women ask before starting.
My periods are still regular. Can this really be perimenopause?
It can be. Perimenopause is the run-up to menopause, often four to ten years long, and it commonly starts while cycles are still arriving on time. Brain fog, a shorter fuse and broken sleep in the small hours are among the earliest things women describe. A change like this can also come from many other things, so this page describes a pattern, and your doctor is the one who can tell you what is going on in your body.
Is this a sleep supplement?
Not in the way melatonin is. There is no melatonin in it and nothing that sedates you. It was built around the stage of life that sits under the broken nights and the foggy mornings, with four systems in one gummy, rather than around the act of falling asleep.
Will it knock me out?
No, and it was never built to. There is no melatonin in it and nothing that sedates you. It supports what is going on underneath a broken night rather than drugging you through one.
How quickly should I expect to notice anything?
Please do not judge it on one night or one morning. The human trials behind these ingredients usually measure what happens over eight to twelve weeks, so give it a steady run of about twelve. Quitting at week two is the most common way to get nothing out of a formula like this. Individual experiences vary, and some women notice nothing.
Is Still You hormone therapy? Does it contain hormones?
No to both. Still You is a non-hormonal dietary supplement and contains no hormones. Soy isoflavones are plant compounds, not hormones. HRT is an important option for many women, and if it is right for you, take it. Nothing here replaces it, or a diagnosis, or medical care.
Can I take it with HRT, my other supplements or my medicine?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. They know your history and your prescriptions; this page cannot give individual medical advice. That goes double if you are on hormone therapy, blood pressure medication or an antidepressant, if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you have a hormone-sensitive, thyroid or liver condition. It contains soy.
Why aren't all the individual doses shown?
Because the label does not carry them, and we will not print numbers the label does not state. The menopause core is fully itemized at 200 / 200 / 100 mg. The Rest + Relaxation Blend and the Botanical Blend are shown as 500 mg totals with every ingredient named, and the probiotics as a combined 20 Billion CFU. That is the same picture on the bottle in your hand.
What if it does nothing for me?
Then it does nothing for you, and that is a real outcome we would rather say out loud than bury. Start with two bottles, give it the full 90 days, and if it is not right for you, request your refund between Day 90 and Day 120 after delivery under the terms above.
Is one gummy really the full serving?
Yes. The Supplement Facts panel states a serving size of one gummy and 60 servings per container. Everything on this page is what one gummy delivers.

About this page. Still You wrote this page and paid for it, and Still You sells the product on it, so it is an ad. It is not news, not a review by anyone outside the company, and not medical advice; no outside doctor or publication stands behind it.
